The purpose of this paper is to examine meanings of the approaches taken from the viewpoint of "Organizational Identity" for current problems in connection with the school and students. Basically, the problems are in the lack of motivation for study at school. In this paper, when considering the meanings of approaches taken from the viewpoint of "Organizational Identity", four characteristics are drawn : (1) The approaches for the conventional study motivation, they are reviewed based on precedence research. (2) The problem in the conventional Organizational Identity Theory which was excessively pointed out on organizational culture. (3) Paying attention to the concept of "Self-Categorization", the existing structure of the Organizational Identity based on it is examined as what can conquer the problem. (4) It works on a concrete management strategy from the viewpoint which sets "Self-Categorization" based on the organizational identity of schools. Organizational Identity Theory includes not only about its own organization's identity, but also about how the members who belong to the organization identifies to the organization. Especially the concept of self-categorization is an important concept of securing the identification to organization while securing the distinctiveness of an organization.
