French without Tears : T. Rattigan's First Comedy and Its Success

Abstract
French without Tears is the first play T. Rattigan wrote and published for himself after several studies and a collaboration. It seemed and still seems a simple unremarkable work, but its success was tremendous when staged. Hence our aim here to examine some factors in its success and in his future successes.
