Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify the reading literacy which early childhood educators think about. The reason of the picture-book choice of the 30 early childhood educators was analyzed. It had the picture-book which was suitable for two questions chosen from 5 picture-books. The first question was that "which is the picturebook you would like to read to a 5-years-old child. And the second question was that "which is the picture-book you would like to read to a 5-years-old child when you think the child acquire a reading literacy. The result, almost not early childhood educator choice the same picture-book in two questions and it wasn't seen similar reason in the choice of the picture book. In conclusion, first is that early childhood educators never almost conscious of the reading literacy when they read picture-book to the child. Second, it is clear that it was divided into 3 patterns related to input the information with reading literacy which early childhood educators thought. It suggests that we have to think the element about output with reading literacy in early childhood education for the connection to elementary school.
