Abstract
The aim of this study is to identify the significance of the creative writing instruction in elementary school education. Some people are not sure of the usefulness of creative writing and how it should be taught, though it has been an activity adopted in the Course of Study. Throughout this article, the literatures by Kanji Hatano, who authored “Psychology of Creation," “Psychology of Writing" and so forth, were investigated about the usefulness and principle of creative writing instruction.Suggestions are as follows: Creation is natural and daily activity for human being. Creation is related with cognition. The process of creation is greatly related with that of cognition. Creative writing has some important elements. Creative writing needs“ Intuition" and “Inspiration." “Rhetoric" cultivated by creative writing is important in terms of media literacy.
