The purpose of this study was to develop a questionnaire which could provide a real picture of one's metacognition during classes of physical education. The questionnaire was carried out with junior high school students (N=214), and factor analysis was conducted on the data collected in the survey. The analysis revealed that there were three factors related to metacognition during physical education classes: 'self-reflective thinking,' 'clarification of one's thought through interactions with others,' and 'self-reflective thinking through interactions with others.'
