The purpose of this paper is to clarify the principles of history lesson for citizenship in elementary schools. In order to achieve this purpose, this paper focuses on the lessons of Tina Reynolds. By analyzing her lessons, this study was able to make clear (1) constituting lessons involved in activities for historical investigations and interpretation, (2) learning history that students survey by various methods, and (3) students should make society study of the history for all citizens. By applying these principles, teachers will be able to make history lessons based on constructivist theory and students will be able to create relations with history.
