The purpose in this paper is to develop the lesson plan for teaching elementary social studies to introduce a new view of Japanese Constitution. We developed the unit plan "Who infringes on one's right?" The aim of this plan is for students to consider how the Constitution works in society and to recognize the perspective and views of the Constitution. We have prepared two views of the Constitution. One is a common view; the Constitution protects our right from power. Another is a new view; the Constitution protects our right from reckless democracy. Students who have learned a common view of the Constitution know the importance of the Constitution, but they cannot understand how the Constitution works in society and how it affects us. As a result of a plan, students will be able to understand and to make a society using two views.
