Abstract
Understanding how a headteacher conducts activities for students’ performance is important for the promotion of quality of education. We conduct a case study in a primary school in Uganda which was selected by improvement of Primary School Leaving Examination score after the arrival of a headteacher. The strategy by the headteacher is the following: to identify several issues related to students’ performance, to build a team of teachers to solve the problem, to utilize assessment data and to secure enough time for learning.
