One hundred and ninely-seven uiversity students answered a questionnaire measuring AlDS education received in the past, cognitive factors, and maladaptive copings for HIV inftetion. Results showed that, probability of occurrence, self efficacy (ability to act), and responsibility decreased maladaptive copings for HIV inftction. On the other hand, cost and reward increased maladaptive copings for HIV inftction.
