The purpose of this study is in clarifying the problems of caring and teaching children from multicultural family through investigation of day care center teachers. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, a questionnaire that is composed of following five items was held. (1) The degree of knowledge, understanding and interest in caring and teaching for children from multi-cultural family. (2) Difficulties in teaching and caring children from multi-cultural family. (3) The supporting contexts for children from multi-cultural family. (4) The supporting contexts for parents from multi-cultural family. (5) Self-efficacy concerning caring and teaching for children from multi-cultural family. As important results, although teachers have interest in teaching and caring children from multi-cultural family, they also lack of the knowledge and understanding of the children when comparing their interest. Moreover, the knowledge and understanding of the children play a crucial role in recognizing self-efficacy, and the fact that supporting parents is more necessary than the children. The conclusion of this study shows that it is necessary to make an all-out effort to support education for teachers about the knowledge and understanding of multi-culture. In addition, the supporting programs for parents from multi-cultural family are in great needs
