Since the 1990s, with the popularization of higher education in China, the whereabouts of college students after graduation have become a social issue. In recent years, after completing their undergraduate degrees, college students have had a low willingness to work, but a high willingness to pursue graduate studies. In this social context, it is necessary to study the current situation and characteristics of college students’ employment intentions. Related research is still concentrated on key universities, but this phenomenon is also evident in local universities. Based on this, we analyze the employment intentions and influencing factors of local college students. The results indicate that the students from national key universities have a greater proportion of students who want to work after graduation, while the share of students from local main universities is lower.
