The first purpose of this study is to collect the real thing of clothes exported to Europe and America for the Meiji period. The silk which became the lining of export clothes was so thin. I measured how much thinness it was with the apparatus which measured thickness of clothes. The thickness of the lining which was attached for a Kimonos embroidered flowers was 0.044mm. The next purpose of this study was to develop the teaching materials to discover Japan of the dyeing and weaving. I made a worksheet to use with a class to understand the history of Japanese clothing by a small piece of clothes. As the teaching materials for classes, I made a lucky charm by the silk of Japanese and Liberty’s cotton. The biggest purpose of this class was to understand mind of the manufacturing of the people who made export clothes in the Meiji era.
