In earth science education, it is necessary to understand that although natural phenomena, including those of cloud and stars, apparently seem not to change in a short time, they change over a long period of time. Also, it is important to understand how they change. Nevertheless, it is difficult to observe the movement and layered structure of clouds in human eye, and opportunity to see the clouds with observation purpose are very limited. If such motion of the clouds are recorded automatically using the interval photographing technique and reproduced as time-lapse video, its understanding will be made possible. For this purpose, we have newly developed teaching/learning materials, especially of earth science. Here, the method of recording the movement of the clouds of day-to-day, being helpful in earth science learning, is explained, as well as that of how to create the time-lapse video.
