Abstract
In this paper, I considered about the method of teaching discussion in Japanese class. In this case, I focused on the analysis of the practice that adopts the activity to objectify discussion. First, I collected the practice examples at elementary school and junior high school.These were written by Nisiue (2011), Sumida and Morita (2009), Sakamoto (2004), Katsumura (1998), Yamamoto (2003), and Yamamoto (2009). Then I analyzed them in the following viewpoints: (1) learning contents, (2) relation between learning contents and teaching mediums, (3) way of showing instructional material, (4)teaching process. Thorough this study, I pointed out that (a) the activity to objectify discussion can teach some contents to develop learner's discussion ability, (b) teachers should select applicable media from video, voice record or transcript, (c) teachers should show the good study material with point of view, (d) teachers should set the activity timely in teaching process in concert with instructional goal.
