Abstract
The purpose of a study is to clarify the viewpoint to catch the acquisition process of Kana characters. The theory of the acquisition process of Kana characters of three people was examined. Three viewpoints to catch the acquisition process of Kana characters as a result of having considered it became clear. First of all, it is a point that it is possible to make the sound correspond to the Kana character or it is not possible to do. This viewpoint had come out when the acquisition process of Kana characters was caught from the viewpoint of "Ability". The second viewpoint is a point how the child enters from the world of the speaking word to the world of the writing word. This viewpoint had come out when having paid attention to the child's activity. The third viewpoint is a point how the child comes to locate the self independently as a reader of the character. This is a viewpoint that had come out when it tried to have caught the acquisition process of Kana characters from the side of child's "Change in the character consideration".
