Abstract
Good teachers usually have the ability to establish and maintain good human relationships with students, parents, colleagues and people around them. To acquire this ability, "interview-report training" is very useful and effective; students go into the local community to interview different people, then write what they have learned and what they think in a report. This training has four good points: meeting people of different generations, reflecting on one's idea of a career, improving writing ability, and nurturing media literacy. This paper explains the significance and process of the training. Over 12 years, as many as 466 students took a course based on such training, and about 100 of them became junior and senior high school teachers. Of these, 28 practicing teachers participated in the study and commented on the value of the course.
