A note on the length of the sentence : Through the way of ShigaNaoya

Abstract
The length of the sentence was used for the comparison of the style of the writing which is possible to show easily by the figure. However, the result tended to have fixed the style of the writer on from the easiness as the way. The shortness of the sentence was made to be the stylistic characteristic in case of ShigaNaoya which is preferably taken up by the stylistic research, too. Therefore, only "the deletion" to make a sentence short attracted attention as the way of Shiga. However, when comparing the draft and the generally accepted text of Shiga in the details, it finds that various techniques are used about the length of the sentence, too. The viewpoint to tell "the style of the writer" in the length of the sentence must be reconsidered. In other words, it should compare not an average with the length of the sentence but the role of "the short sentence" and "the long sentence" at each writer.
