Abstract
The purpose of this study is to consider the framework that makes Japanese non-prototypical transitive sentence clear, and show the validity of this framework : We use following framework to examine classification.(1) object change transitive sentences (2) affected object transitive sentences (3) subject change transitive sentences (4) affected subject transitive sentences. We then consider the possible interpretations of the subject's thematic role and the intentionality in those transitive sentences.Furthermore, we consider the effects of case particle "de" (Instrumental case, Locative, Causative) in Japanese transitive sentences. If we use the framework mentioned above, we can easily analyze the structure of complex transitive sentences like the "Quasi-Transitive Sentence" (Amano 1987).
