This report clears the process of the formation of the course of study in secondary homemaking education revised in 1948. By the analysis of the homemaking curriculum in New York State, CIE Records and Japanese documents, the results were as follows : 1. D. S. Lewis in CIE indicated that the homemaking curriculum revision committee had to refer to the secondary homemaking curriculum in New York State. 2. As compare the New York State homemaking curriculum and course of study in 1948, many similarities were seen in both structure and contents. 3. D. Lewis directed homemaking course of study in the high school in Japan in the summer of 1948. As she returned to her country in September of 1948, Japanese committee decided to amend this course of study to adapt Japanese home life and so on.
