The purpose of this study was to clarify recent trends in the connections among preschools, nursery schools, and elementary schools, and to examine, from a pedagogical perspective, what points are emphasized in the implementation of these connections. To this end, we focused on the Hiroshima Prefecture’s approach and discussed the current trends in connections among these schools. We then analyzed the curriculum described in the “A Guideline with Practical Case Studies of the Kindergarten–Nursery School–Elementary School Connections Curriculum,” by the prefecture. Finally, based on the analysis, we discussed what points are emphasized in the creation of the curriculum from a pedagogical perspective.
