Abstract
The purpose of this study is to support Orff’s education philosophy through analysis of a musical education element in Orff-Schulwerk as all-around education focusing on five volumes of Musik für Kinder and to consider Orff’s musical education view. The analytic method divides the element which constitutes music into six items (1) melody, (2) ostinato, (3) basso ostinato, (4) harmony, (5) rhythm, (6) music style, and shows the feature of Orff’s educational work. Consideration is performed from two viewpoints of the musical education element; one is learned from each part, another is learned by ensemble. From the whole consideration, what exists at the center of Orff’s musical education view was concluded, when man was pulling out the musical feeling which it has originally, and capability. Orff makes language a form to a rhythm and sound, and makes it shift to a motion in expression fellows, and joy and deep emotion of the moment of being connected as play or movement were used in musical education.
