Abstract
The purpose of this study is to clarify the process of systematic development on music making in elementary school.  

Using music textbooks and teacher’s manuals published in 2011, it was analyzed how music making is treated in order to achieve the aim of each subject which the textbooks ask for.  

In conclusion, finding revealed that music making is treated by two different methods, one of which is the means for achieving the purpose and the other is composition.
