Learners living in an advanced information society are familiar with SNS and other media in which verbal information occupies a major position, and misunderstandings and deteriorating human relationships due to communication via SNS have become commonplace problems.In this study, we examined the effects of "text communication," in which learners use only text to communicate. As a result, we can conclude that learners are more likely to engage in expressive language activities and express their opinions freely when they use "text communication".
