Abstract
This article provides an outline of the follow-up classroom practice in English classes based on the Hiroshima University Campus Ubiquitous Project and presents the details of the teaching syllabus/procedures and teaching materials for WBT (Web Based Training). In this project, schedules are set up so that the same three teachers will take charge of the same English classes (Communication IB and Communication IIB) during the course of the whole year. The students are first-year students in the Department of Economics, and each class is conducted by means of the CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning) classroom, as well as an online network system. Based on achievements and problems of the last year's project (see, Enokida, Maeda, Isoda, & Tagashira, 2006), some attempts are instigated for further curriculum/lesson developments: on-line homework (ALC Netacademy), English vocabulary proficiency tests, and questionnaire survey for English language learning motivation. The results of a questionnaire and the class assignments during these courses reveal some characteristic tendencies of the students.
