Abstract
The New Courses of study that include Period for Integrated Study will be implemented from 2002. It is important for a child to have a keen awareness of the problem, when he or she studies Integrated Study as a problem-solving learning. The aim of this paper is to examine to what extent awareness of the problems is changed by the lesson of Integrated Study. The results are as follows. 1 Children do not have the awareness of all problems about their surroundings and communities. 2 Knowing new matters are necessary for children to arouse their interests. 3 Learning through effective activities and personal experiences makes children's awareness concrete and keen.
