Abstract
Creating 'good classes' is an eternal and constant challenge for teachers as long as they stay in the teaching profession. This is no exception in art education. Howeer, we may hardly be able to say that children are constantly given good classes.

We can say that this is probably due to a lack of understanding of fundmental principles in desiging classes, such as a lack of understanding of art or misunderstanding of art education.

The aim of this article is to suggest seven required conditions as guidng principles in creasing good classroom teaching based upon the present author's experiences or the analyses of the practices by his colleague teachers.
