Abstract
In this paper, reading strategies as scaffoldings for developing reading abilities were examined and any reading lessons were examined; Reciprocal Teaching, Questioning the Authors, and Collaborative Reasoning. In conclusion, any ideas for developing the "independent readers" were suggested.
