Abstract
The current study explored the relationship between organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and job stressors among Japanese workers. A total of 200 workers in manufacturing companies completed a questionnaire survey measuring OCB (interpersonal helping behavior, sincerity, concern for the job, actions to support the organization, cleanliness) and job stressors (job control, skill utilization, human relationships, workplace environment, job suitability and rewarding work). Multiple regression analyses indicated that OCB was associated with job control, human relationship, rewarding work. These findings suggest that enhancing job control, improving human relationships and increasing rewarding work may increase OCB.
