While the recent Courses of Study call for “enrichment of language activities,” there are concerns that these activities aim to focus primarily on the development of logical thinking and the ability to verbally communicate clearly. This study aims to explore the aspects of children’s experiences before they are articulated and words that do not become logic in arts and crafts. The research method is an analysis of the author’s classroom practice in the arts and crafts department. In this study, I examined the process of identifying children’s feelings when they saw the colors they made with paints and pastels. As a result, it was found that the children were able to learn perception and expand their images by naming them, although they were hesitant.
