Abstract
The purpose of this study was to pick up a problem in learning strategy of self-regulated learning. Reviewing articles about learning strategy of self-regulated learning, it became clear that students with high motivation and students who recognize the validity of learning strategy very often use such learning strategies. Additionally, it was found that higher scoring students often use learning strategies. The use of many learning strategies, however, was not found to guarantee improvements in scoring. Rather the quality of one's learning strategies seems to be of high importance, when trying to raise academic achievement scores. It will be necessary to separate a "knowledge of learning strategies" and a "use of learning strategies" aspect in order to evaluate the quality of instructions aiming of encouraging the use of suitable learning strategies.
