The purpose of this paper is to explicate the relation between the instruction in Religion and the juvenile literature in the educational thought of J. H. Campe. His educational adaptation from Robinson was based on the method for instruct children the Providence of God with rousing their emotion. but against sentimentalism Campe had to turn so systematic and rationalistic method that excluded emotional clue in children, and rather clarified the problem of reason and religion in the educational thought of enlightenment.
