Abstract
Britain colonized Burma through the three Anglo-Burmese wars of 1824-26, 1852 and 1885. Britain eventually governed it as a part of India, a most important feature of the colonial rule of Burma. Burma struggled over several years to achieve its deasired separation from India. This occurred in 1937. Various colonial Problems that originally arose between Burma and Britain were shifted to the Burma-India conflict.
