In the 2000s, studies in information network in Seto-Naikai in early modern times through the use of ancient documents named “yahara-ke-monjyo(八原家文書)" in the Museum of Ehime History and Culture are advancing. These documents are official-business records written by a whole family that were working at an “O-chaya(御茶屋)" (an accommodation for senior bureaucrat) directly managed by Iyo-Matsuyama-clan managed directly. By analysis of the documents, I have explained about its network function in the second half of the 18th century.
Based on such experiences and the research trend, I tried to find out a future clear view about the study method of the relations among the Edo Shogunate, a feudal clan and a community.
