The aim of this study is to reveal what to study in order to foster children's natures and abilities as well as how to operate learning activities regarding studies about statistics. Under the theoretical study by literature interpretation, the present study was conducted through practical studies such as class observations and case analysis. As a result, children learned actively and three aspects of their natures and abilities were fostered when children have collected and analyzed the data that were necessary to solve the need emerged from the questions within their daily lives, or when the children have presented what they wished to tell based on the numerical value or graphs. In particular, the intentionally provided settings where actual statistical situations and children's learning experiences were connected was effective in developing children's abilities of carrier planning.
