This paper examines the depth of reading comprehension that focuses on the narrative in literary texts. Learners understand that their reading comprehension can be deepened and how it can happen through the narrative.― The story Kiki on the Trapeze ― a part of the curriculum for the first year of junior high school,was used for verification.As a result,with the changes in the impressions between the first reading, after the class,and new questions that arose after the class,the learners’ reading comprehension deepened.They became aware of that by focusing on the narration.In addition,we saw the possibility of indicating the degree and direction of deepening of reading comprehension.
