The Tale of Aubade, Ariake-no-wakare, which was written at the end of Heian Era, has its only extant copy deposited at the library of Tenri University. Since the transcription was made in the middle of the Edo Period, it is full of errors. This paper is, therefore, an attempt to explore the textual collations of the tale in question, dealing with its second and third volumes. The first volume was published in The Hiroshima University Studies, Faculty of Letters, Vol.58 (1998).
