Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to develop elementary school social studies class that cultivate the multifaceted and multi-sided thinking. We focused on the learning process of children in order to deepen the understanding the meaning of the "ingenuity and effort" of people especially in the unit of industry learning. We made a new unit that makes children think the process of the industrial development as a "self-realization", and make them think the understanding meaning of "ingenuity and effort" of people deeply. Based on this, we proposed a model of elementary school social studies class that cultivates the multifaceted and multi-sided thinking for children.
