Abstract
This study focuses on Shoichi Takeuchi' s novel "Enter the Harbin" to explore how his "National Policy Literature" is expressed through his narrative. In the book, Takeuchi continued his original writing style in portraying the people who living through the historical events. However, Takeuchi was on the one hand assimilated by the state motto "Five Races Under One Union" advocated by the government at the time, while on the other hand expressing his awareness of the difficulty in achieving harmony among multi-ethnic groups. The novel indicates an intention to awaken the national consciousness and mission of the Japanese living in Manchukuo.
