Abstract |
The Trajectory Equifinality Model (TEM) is one methodology of qualitative research. The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility and issue of using TEM as a tool in early childhood education and care practice research. This study consists of two trials. In Trial 1, TEM is applied as a tool for understanding children's experiences. In Trial 2, TEM is applied to clarify an early childhood teacher's professionalism. There are three possible outcomes of Trial 1: (1) the pattern explaining the target child's experience process is extracted; (2) The target child and environmental relationship are clarified; and (3) The intentionality of the target child's act selection is caught. Trial 2 also has three possible outcomes, as follows: (1) The teacher's simultaneity of support is clarified; (2) An understanding of a teacher's belief; and (3) An understanding of practice environment. As issues, the difficulty of an object setup or data collection was found out from Traial1&2.
