数学教育学研究に関する一考察 : 課題と方法を中心に <展望>

本稿の目的は, 「数学教育学」の今日の発展につながる過去及び現在を, 数学教育学に関する学術雑誌, 学位論文及び研究著書・論文等を通して振り返ることによって, これからの「数学教育学」の研究課題と方法を展望するための礎とすることである。

まず, 学問としての数学教育学は, 数学教育を対象とする基礎的・科学的研究の体系であり, それは昭和30年代中頃に構想され, 現在では成立し得たと言ってよい状況にあることを述べる。次いで, 数学教育学は数学教育を対象とし, 数学を通しての人間形成を追求するという目的をもつ, 二面性や統合性といった性格の学問であることを確認する。そして, 研究の蓄積と発展に伴って, 現在では多様な研究領域や研究方法があることを示す。最後に, 学際的アプローチによって取り組むべき数学教育学におけるいくつかの研究課題を示唆する。

The aim of this paper is to lay a foundation for perspectives on mathematics education as a science in the future. In order to do it, we reviewed the past and present state of affairs related to the development of research in mathematics education. Then, the features of mathematics education as a science and the interdisciplinary characteristsic of its fields and methods are shown. Moreover, some perspectives on the tasks and methods of research in mathematics education in the future are suggested.
