In New Testament Greek, there were several ways of periphrastic expressions of future. μέλλω+infinitive construction belonged to one of these expressions. This construction seemed to have an imperfect aspect. In Gothic also had several ways of periphrastic expression of future, that seemed to have an imperfect aspect. The μέλλω+infinitive construction translated into Gothic in several ways. In this paper, I tried to show whether a principle on the translation existed or not, and if existed, what princeple existed there.
