This paper focuses on Hyoro that is the food of wartime. In previous studies, it was understood that Sengoku Daimyo made the army bring Hyoro, while the shogunate and daimyo in the early modern period provided it. In recent years, it has been pointed out that in the case of the Daimyo Mori, he supplied Hyoro in various ways to battle zones.
However, a historical development of Mori’s supply policy has not been paid much attention. This is related to the historical evaluation of what significance supplying Hyoro had for Sengoku Daimyo, and it is an important problem to understand the finances. So, it examined Mori’s supplying Hyoro concretely while the case of the war with the Oda government from time when it fought with Sengoku daimyo.
As a result, Mori had already supplied Hyoro, in the war against Sengoku Dimyo, and in the fight with the Oda government, Yamaguchi bugyo and gunji had come to play a role as a supply system. It was concluded that a character difference of the territorial country composition had become remarkable from this as a problem in securing the financial resources especially after the war with the Oda government.
