本研究の目的は，Googleサイトを活用した小学校社会科学習材を開発することである。小学校中学年社会科は「地域」が学習対象となる。しかし，多くの学校現場では教科書掲載の事例をそのまま授業で取り上げるなど，「地域」を学ばない地域学習が展開されている。その理由の1つとして，社会科副読本の内容が不十分な点がある。社会科副読本の内容が不十分な地方自治体や，社会科副読本が存在しない地方自治体では「地域」を学ぶことが困難な状況となっている。これらの課題を踏まえ，本研究ではGoogleサイトを活用した小学校社会科学習材の開発を行った。まず，先行研究を整理した後，Googleサイトを活用した小学校社会科学習材の特質や意義についての考察を行った。そして，第3学年単元「山田錦物語」を事例として，Googleサイトを活用した小学校社会科学習材を開発し，学習材を活用した授業実践の分析・検討を行った。

The purpose of this study is to develop learning materials for elementary school social studies using Google sites. In the middle grades of elementary school, the subject of learning is “local area.” However, in many schools, there is the present condition that community is not learned. Many teachers take the case studies published in textbooks as they are. One of the reasons for this is that the contents of the social studies supplementary readers are insufficient. It is difficult to learn about the region in local governments where the contents of social studies supplementary readers are insufficient or where there are no such books. Based on these problems, we developed learning materials for elementary school social studies using Google sites, taking the 3rd grade unit “Yamada Nishiki Story (Story of the rice for Japanese sake)” as an example, and analyzed class practices using learning materials.
