本稿は教育史学（pädagogische Historiographie）における文脈分析論的な自己理解のアクチュアルなアプローチを扱い、そこから方法論争の中で色濃く批判的に検討されてきている問題史的アプローチへ目を向けていく。これを通して示されることは、文脈分析論も問題史的なアプローチもお互いにみずからの史的解明上の記述要因（Darstellungsmomente）に対する感覚を十分に形成できていないということである。こうした欠陥分析を出発点に、教育史は、どのような系譜であれ、史的アプローチを記述（Darstellung）と記述の省察（Darstellungsreflexion））という二つとして理解され、これによって同時に研究上の歴史的・体系的操作という二律背反を克服することの可能性について議論している。

This paper is a translated article “Historisch/systematisch – Anmerkungen zur Methodendiskussion in der pädagogischen Historiographie” written by J. Bellmann and Y. Ehrenspeck in 2006. Abstract is described as follows: The authors discuss recent approaches of a context-analytical self-conception in peda- gogical historiography and then go on to examine problem-centered historical approaches, which have been criticized increasingly in the present debate on methods. They argue that both context analysis and problem-oriented historical approaches have developed an inadequate sense for the presentation of respective historical work. Starting from the analysis of this deficiency, they dis- cuss the possibility to conceive of pedagogical historiography – regardless of its origins – as a form of presentation and as the reflection on this presentation and thus to overcome the antinomy between historical and systematic research operations.
