Abstract |
The purpose of this paper is to show the specifics of literature education practice based on the problem of “dissociation” by using Teruo Uehara’s educational philosophy as a methodology. Teruo Uehara, a scholar of folklore and a practitioner of teacher training, criticized the education of the time that adhered only to “reality” through the perspective of “psychic tradition” research that he discovered in his folklore research, and stated his own educational philosophy that “reality” and “dreams” stand in the “field” of “image world”. Uehara’s educational philosophy was expressed in literature. He embodied this educational philosophy of Uehara as a methodology for literary education and put it into practice in “Gongitsune. As a result of the practice, we found that the learners resonated with the work “Gongitsune”. Such an appearance can be cited as a concrete example of literature education practice based on “dissociation”.
