Abstract
In this research, we aimed to observe the transformation of infant’s competence and verify the effect of early childhood education and care to foster necessary abilities for transition from kindergartens to elementary school. We set ten abilities (spontaneity, competence, morality, metacognition, self-control competence, thinking competence, sensory and perception, exercise capacity, language competence, expressiveness) to nurture during transition from kindergartens to elementary school.
1. Then we asked the older-child class teacher to educate and care with these ten abilities aware. 2. Then we asked the older-child class teacher to educate and care nourishing these ten abilities. Before and after this education and care, we video recorded the children playing with blocks and analyzed. As a result, positive significant differences were found in morality, self-control competence, exercise capacity and language competence. In the transition from kindergartens to elementary school, it is necessary to pay close attention to the competence of infants, but we found that to evaluate the competence of an infant, it is necessary to select more.
