Abstract |
After the war, there were no music halls in Hiroshima because of the Atomic Bomb. So, citizens were eager to establish a large music hall with excellent facilities. As a result, Hiroshima Public Hall was opened in 1955. Hiroshima Public Hall was the first music hall in postwar Hiroshima. Since then, many concerts of various types were performed and musical activities spread widely in Hiroshima. So, Hiroshima Public Hall is the most important music hall in postwar Hiroshima. From the above thing, considering the situation of Hiroshima Public Hall is valuable. The purpose of this study are surveying the situation of public performances at Hiroshima Public Hall and some main music halls in postwar Hiroshima according to contents of Eiga Techo and considering the characteristics of each hall or the relationship to one another. The reason for using Eiga Techo in this paper is due to the high value that article because it is the oldest town magazine in Hiroshima. And I take these four music halls, Hiroshima Public Hall, Hiroshima Youth Center, Kenshin Public Hall, and Hiroshima Postal Savings Center in this paper. Because they were popular music halls in Postwar Hiroshima, so the situation of their performances are worthy of comparison with Hiroshima Public Hall's. As a result of this study, the number of performances of other music halls was decrease because of opening Hiroshima Postal Savings Center. But the performances were carried out utilizing the characteristics of each halls, separating the contents of performances have been made.
