Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine effective supports for children with attachment issues in school by review of previous studies. First, this study reviews studies about the influence on child development of the formation process of attachment. And suggested that how can understand children’s actual behavior and how can support children with attachment issues. Second, this study reviews studies about the school adjustment on child with attachment issues. Third, this study reviews studies about programs such as social skill training for children with attachment issues and roles of school counselors. Finally, this study discusses the possibility and problem about the concept of “school as a team”. While it is important that to take advantage of school counselor and/or school social worker to help children with attachment issues in school, but on the other hand, there are some problems in assimilation of the result of psychological assessment or planning to help children. To resolve these problems, it is needed to use objective assessment tools such as “Boxall Profile” and/or development human resources who can make a plan with professional knowledge about school and education.
