明治期幼稚園唱歌教育における唱歌教材に関する研究 : 教材の形態的側面の検討を中心に <原著論文>

本論文の目的は, 現代の幼稚園教育思想の原点ともいえる明治時代に焦点をあて, 幼稚園教育思想の推移と共に変化していった唱歌教材の特徴を明らかにすることである。そのため, 明治時代の幼稚園教育思想及び幼稚園における唱歌教育論の変遷を追うと共に, 唱歌教材の音域・音程・音価の分析調査から算出された統計量をもとに年代順に比較考察を行い, 唱歌教材の形態的側面からその変遷を検討した。その結果, 幼稚園教育思想が次第に幼児の視点に立ったものへとなるにつれ, 大人によって望ましいとされる唱歌教材が, 幼児の能力や特性に適合した唱歌教材へと変化していったことが明確となった。

しかし一方では, 明治中期以降独自の発展を遂げたキリスト教主義幼稚園が出版した唱歌教材は特異な性格を有していたことも明らかとなり, その背景にある唱歌教育観の違いが浮き彫りになった。

The purpose of this paper is to characterize the changes in materials for singing education, in accordance with the development of the thoughts of kindergarten education, focusing on the Meiji era, when most of the modem thoughts of kindergarten education began.

To achieve this purpose, first, the development of the thoughts of kindergarten education is described; and similar discussion on singing education, is made,then make chronological comparison, based on an analysis of the range of note, interval and time value of the materials, and this is followed by an analysis of the process of the transition in the structure and composition of singing materials.

Based on data, the change in the materials, from one suitable to adults, to materials suitable to children's abilities and characteristics is observed, moreover there is an observed shift in concern for the children themselves.

On the other hand, the peculiarity of the singing materials published for kindergartens under Christian administration which did own development since the middle of the Meiji era, is made clear. The materials reflect the Christian attitudes behind singing education.
