Jumping plant-lice (Hemiptera : Psylloidea) of Hiroshima Prefecture

So far at least 140 species of the jumping plant-lice, or insects of Psylloidea, have been known from Japan, but their detailed, distributional information has never been so much given in the prefectural level. In Hiroshima Prefecture, the almost westernmost Honshu, only nine species of Psylloidea have been recorded until now. In the summer of 2000, nearly 300 individuals of Psylloidea were collected mainly at light trap in several places of the prefecture. They consisted of 22 species belonging to eight genera of three families. Thirteen species are recorded from the prefecture for the first time, and some other species are considered to be new species. In this report, the species of Psylloidea collected from Hiroshima Prefecture in 2000 are listed together with some distributional information and comments.
